Aktas Plastic Industry was set up in 1990, grew bigger and became a well-known company in the early 2000s. Based in Mermerciler Industrial Site, Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, Aktas Plastic Company also added another facility in Tekirdag/Corlu, has modern facilities of 22.500 m2 and is a fast-growing company with a staff of more than 80 employees. Considering research and development to be very important as part of its policy, Akas Plastic launches new products on to the market. In 2019 it increased its production capacity by 80 % and is still on the increase.

Fruit trays are especially designated for the packaging of fresh fruit and vegetables. These finely crafted trays are produced using R-PET films and are designed to not only provide safety to the fresh products but also help increase its shelf life. With its own R-PET extension line AKTAŞ is able to produce environment-friendly sheets.
